In a bid to curb the unemployment rate among the young people in Lagos state, the Lagos state government in 2016 launched the Lagos State Employability Trust Fund. The LSETF is designed to provide financial support to residents of Lagos State, for jobs, wealth creation, and skill acquisition programs. The project is a N25 Billion fund contributed over four years by the Lagos State Government, plus additional funds raised from various sources including donor partners, development agencies, corporate organizations, and individuals.
The Lagos State Employability Support Project(LSESP) seeks to curb the problem of unemployment in Lagos state by increasing the pool of skilled manpower in the state by putting young Lagosian through the vocational training program in order to improve their chances of getting a job.
It is in line with the above aims and objectives that the LSESP UNDP Vocational Training 2025 is being organized to empower young unemployed Lagosians with the right set of skills. See the training details below;
About Lagos State Employability Trust Fund UNDP Vocational Training Program 2025
The LSESP Employability Support Project is designed to help tackle the rise of unemployment among the youths by helping them gain knowledge and skill through vocational training and subsequently helping them get job placements.
The aim of the project is to train 10,000 young people to gain skills in 6 sectors namely;
- Manufacturing, \
- Hospitality,
- Entertainment,
- Construction,
- Health, and
- Garment Making
This will help place the youths in line for immediate employment.
Requirements for Lagos State Employability Trust Fund UNDP Vocational Training
To be considered as a participant in this project, you must meet these requirements;
- You must be between 18 and 45 years
- Be a Lagos State resident.
- You must have your National ID Number (NIN)
- You must have your LASSRA Number
- BVN
- Passport Photo
- You must provide a Guarantor
