Requirements for IITA Recruitment for June 2021

The requirements differ from one position to the other, but in this post, you will see all the basic requirements you are expected to meet before proceeding to the IITA recruitment portal for other requirements and submission of the application form.

Administrative Officer – Requirements

Education

BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
A minimum of four (4) years experience in a well-structured environment or donor-funded organization.

Competencies

The ideal candidate must:

Have excellent computer skills with a good grasp and knowledge of spreadsheets,
word processing and other MS Office applications.
Have the ability to maintain high integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented
multicultural environment.
Have the ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor own work plans, and deliver
accurate and timely reports.
Have the ability to coordinate, prioritize and organize workloads; take initiatives
and work under pressure.
Be able to work with minimum supervision and with tight deadlines.
Proficiency in English language with excellent writing, communication, and
presentation skills

Project Coordinator – Requirements

Education

Master’s in Plant Breeding, Molecular Biology or Agriculture or related field
A minimum of five (5) years experience in a well-structured environment or donor-funded organization.

Competencies

The ideal candidate must have:

Strong understanding of local culture and work environments, particularly in the
context of rural development and smallholder farmer practices.
The ability to communicate effectively in English is a must and local dialect(s) is a
plus.
Service-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
Seed industry/private sector experience is desired.
Project management experience and ability to work under strict deadlines and
budget requirements.
Logistic management experience in agriculture research.
Experience in multi-stakeholder engagements and demonstrated ability to
collaborate to achieve common goals.
Ability to work independently with minor supervision and a career-driven
mindset.
Ability to travel locally with occasional international travels.
