Lake Chad Scholarship Programme 2024 Application Form Portal, Requirements and How to Apply
The federal governement of Nigeria in conjunction with the North East Development Commission(NEDC) is set to commence applications for the Lake Chad Scholarship Programme 2024. The scholarship programme is targeted at residents of Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states with the aim of cushioning the effect of insurgency on education in the states.

About Lake Chad Scholarship Programme
This scholarship programme is designed to provide financial support to graduate and postgraduate students from Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states, three states profoundly affected by insurgent activities.
The scholarship is part of the Multi-sectoral Crisis Recovery Project Additional Financing(MCRP-AF) programme of NEDC and is aimed at addressing the educational challenges faced by youth in the North East region of Nigeria due to insurgency.

Lake Chad Scholarship Portal
The application portal for the scholarship will be launched on the 14th of November in Abuja after which all interested and eligible indigenes of the states will be allowed to submit their application form.
Requirements
All interested candidates must meet the scholarship requirements to be eligible to apply;
- You must be from Borno, Adamawa, or Yobe state to be eligible
- You must be an undergraduate or Postgraduate student of a governement recognized higher institution in Nigeria
- Primary School Certificate
- Admission Letter
- Jamb Result
- O’ Level certificate
- Indigene certificate(LGA identification letter)
More requirements will be added as they are made available on the launch date.

How to Apply for Lake Chad Scholarship Programme
All students from the above-listed states who wish to benefit from this scholarship programme must submit their application forms online via the Lake Chad Scholarship application portal after which they are to with for further directions.
Note: The scholarship portal will be launched on 14th November 2023. So make sure to prepare all your documents in softcopy including a recent passport.
