If your answer is yes or you know someone who might be interested in learning new skills or improving existing skills while getting funding to support their business then the Whitefield Foundation EQUIP initiative is for you.
What is EQUIP
EQUIP is an empowerment initiative of Whitefield Foundation funded by the Coca-Cola Foundation to empower youths and women between the ages of 18 yrs to 45 years. The acronym EQUIP stands for E-educate, Q-quench, U-upgrade, I-illuminate, and P-pivot.
Other Partners include Capstone Resource Centre, Sterling One Foundation, Sterling Bank, Megalios IT Foundation, MSMEAfrica, AfricanFarmer, and Kano State Ministry of Youth & Sports Development.
This initiative is designed to equip 60,000 participants with FREE employability and entrepreneurship skills that will help them generate income to rise out of poverty, gain economic power, cater to their personal and immediate family needs. The program is FREE. Online and Offline Hybrid.
Outside learning new skills, 1,000 participants out of the expected 60,000 trainees will be eligible for grants to start their business. See grant categories below.

Grant Category
The grant for this programme is under three categories;
- GOLD Category – 200,000 each
- SILVER Category – 100,000 each
- BRONZE CATEGORY – 25,000 each.
About the EQUIP Training
- Online training will commence as soon as 60,000 qualified participants are selected. It’s first come first served. Register Early.
- This training is in Four (3) stages.
- The First Stage will be 100% online and will last for Two -Three (2-3) weeks.
- The Second Stage (also virtual) will be interactive practical sessions that will last for Two (2)Weeks.
- The Third Stage will be an Intensive Bootcamp for top performers.
- The Last stage is business pitching for grant awards.
- Participants are allowed a maximum period of 5 weeks to attempt and finish all the training.
- Completing the First stage earns you a certificate.
- Successfully completing the first two stages offers you the opportunity to compete to win grants.
Eligibility Criteria
- The program is for every Nigerian in all parts of the federation.
- To participate in the sessions, all you need is access to a fast internet (by Data or Wifi)
- You must be between the age of 18 to 45 years.

You stand the chance of getting an authentic certificate and becoming a Grant Winner when you do the following:
(i) Attend all the online classes and attempt the quizzes.
(ii) Follow all instructions about the program.
(iii) Practice and share what you are being taught.
(iv) Complete all given assignments.
(v) Perform excellently in all the sessions and communicate your assignments clearly.
(vi) Participate positively in forum discussions.
(vii) Clearly define, develop and pitch your business idea.
(Viii) A few of the top performers that complete the first three stages will become certified as ‘AMBASSADORS’.
(ix) An AMBASSADOR has the opportunity to get tools and resources that will help him/her stand strong in entrepreneurship.
