Facts About OSOPADEC
Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, is a body established by the Laws of Ondo State House of Assembly in 2001 to intervene in the development of the oil producing and impacted areas of Ondo State. The vision of the body is “to be the most proactive and responsive interventionist agency that satisfies stakeholders’ aspirations with excellence in service delivery”.

OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship Application Portal
The official website of OSOPADEC is used to conduct all activities in the body. During application, a special link is setup for individuals to complete their application via the portal.
Requirements for OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship 2020/2021
All intending applicants for OSOPADEC Bursary and scholarship are to meet the following eligibility criteria;
- Applicant must be a full-time student of recognized Private/Public Tertiary Institution within the Nigeria as at 2018/2019 Academic Session
- Candidate should be an indigene of Ese-Odo or Ilaje L.G.A with evidence of Letter of Origin(local government identification letter)
- Applicant should have a JAMB Registration No. where relevant.
- Candidate must present a letter of Admission(see steps to print Jamb admission letter here)
- Applicant must present evidence of School Fees receipt for 2018/2019 session
- All applicants must present Student ID Card.
- Post Graduate students presently in Law School are eligible to apply.
- Applicants for scholarship award must have at least Second Class Upper Division or its equivalent.
Special waiver consideration will be given to applicants currently undergoing courses of interest to the commission, which include:
- Nursing,
- Midwifery,
- Medicine & Surgery,
- Engineering, Pharmacy,
- Geology/Geophysics,
- Quantity Surveying,
- Computer Science/Engineering,
- Architecture,
- Dentistry and Medical Lab science
Note: Students in Part-Time, Sandwich, Pre-Degree, NTL, Certificate Diploma and others formal Institutions not duly accredited by relevant government agencies are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply for OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship Scheme 2019
All candidates who meet the above requirements and are indigenes of the above listed local government and also qualified for the scholarship or bursary scheme are required to visit the OSOPADEC application portal at https://osopadec.gov.ng.
The application link will be available as soon as the scholarship application commence sometime in April /May 2020.
Documents Needed for the Application
Applicants are required to upload the following;
- A recent passport photograph
- Local government identification letter
- Admission letter
- School fees receipt for 2017/2018 academic section
- School ID
- Evidence of membership of NAIS or FELGOS and
- Jamb registration slip.
Deadline for Application
Deadline will be announced when the recruitment commences.
