The Nigeria Navy has an official website https://www.navy.mil.ng through which they keep the public informed regarding issues and improvements made within the force. They also have a separate website https://joinnigeriannavy.com through which recruitment is announced and conducted and all interested/eligible candidates who wish to join the Nigerian Navy are expected to visit the portal to find the list of vacancies and also read the requirements for their chosen role and then proceed to complete their application form with accurate information. Nigerian Navy Recruitment General Requirements

Interested candidates for Nigerian Navy DSSC recruitment are to meet these requirements irrespective of your chosen role. Click here to see the individual role requirements

  • You must be a Nigerian by birth.
  • False information or tendering fake certificates will lead to disqualification and subsequent prosecution of the applicant.
  • You must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for holders of First degree and Upper Credit for HND holders. Computer literacy will be an added advantage in all fields.
  • Applicants must possess certificates of full registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria.
  • Applicants who obtained credentials from foreign institutions should ensure the certificates are authenticated by the Federal Ministry of Education and copies of the certificates are to be submitted at chosen aptitude test centers on 17 October 2020.
  • All applicants must present the O’level West African Examination Certificate (WAEC), in addition to any other results such as NECO. Credit in Mathematics and English is compulsory.
  • You must have your NYSC discharge certificate or letter of exemption from NYSC
  • Male applicants must not be less than 1.68 meters tall while female applicants must not be less than 1.65 meters tall.
  • Applicants should be between 22 and 28 years of age by 7 January 2021. Except for Chaplains/Imams and Medical Consultants who should not be more than 30 years and 40 years respectively.
  • Serving personnel, Soldier/Rating/Airman, and other paramilitary services personnel must obtain a letter of attestation duly signed by the
    heads of their units.
  • Applicants will be shortlisted for a qualifying aptitude test. The date and time of the aptitude test will be communicated via this website.

How to Apply for Nigeria Navy DSSC Recruitment 2020

Interested and eligible candidates should complete their application form online by visiting the Nigerian Navy recruitment portal https://joinnigeriannavy.com/ While completing the form, you are expected to select a center of your choice from the list of available centers. After completing the form, click on submit and take note of your transaction ID then proceed to print the application summary document.

a. Abuja Centre:

(1) Army Day Secondary School, Mogadishu Barracks.

(2) Command Day Secondary School, Lungi Barracks.

b. Bauchi Centre:

Command Day Secondary School, Shadawanka Barracks.

c. Owerrinta Centre:

Nigerian Navy Finance and Logistics College, Owerrinta, Imo State.

d. Lagos Centre:

(1) Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Navy Town Ojo.

(2) Navy Town Secondary School, Navy Town Ojo.

e. Port-Harcourt Centre:

(1) Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Borokiri.

(2) Air Force Secondary School, 115 Special Operations Group, Air Force
Base.

f. Sokoto Centre:

Army Day Secondary School, Giginya Barracks.

13. Applicants are to appear for the Aptitude Test with the following:

a. Photocopies of Degree and NYSC Discharge Certificate.

b. Parent/Guardian Consent Form.

c. Acknowledgment Form.

The application portal opens on 7th September 2020 and closes on 5th October 2020. You are advised to complete your application before this deadline.
