Founded by Howdy Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri, 7UP was an optimistic adventure from the beginning. After using the Howdy Orange drink with great success, the company founder C.L. Grieg decided to try his luck with lemon and lime. C.L. Grigg spent more than two years testing 11 different formulas, all in order to find a drink that was irresistible to people in Missouri and the world. In 1929, C.L. Grigg’s most sparkling drink was born. The public quickly became interested in Grigg’s caramel-colored lemon-lime soda. Bib-Label Lithium Lemon-Lime Soda is selling well. As the drink became more and more popular, the original name was replaced with something short and sweet. Bib-Label Lithium Lemon-Lime Soda is called 7UP.
