5 ways to save money during your screening in College

The joy of getting admitted into tertiary institution can make you spend money unnecessarily since as a new student, you don’t fully understand what live around school environment is like and your pocket is also filled with money at the moment but the rainy days are fast approaching and this post is intended to help you save some of the money in your pocket at the moment for the rainy days.

1. Take a day off and walk around the school

You might want to ask what good is a day off when I have lots of documents to submit? Well, a day off will do you a lot of good because by taking this first walk around the campus you will be stumbling on offices you may be referred to much later when you start your screening and this will save you money on shuttles around the school.

2. Save on Transportation

Once you start your screening, you will be required to go to different places both within and outside the school environment thereby spending money on transportation but if you already obeyed the first rule, you will save money on transportation within the school because you already know few places. For things which require you to go outside the school like medicals etc, it is better you go with those who are conversant with the roads around because by doing so, you avoid wasting your money on transport.

3. Go on time

New students are always faced with the challenge of not making it to screening point on time which is why some would want to pay for express service or look for other shortcuts that may result to problem but if you arrive on time your chances of getting screened without paying for express service are more and you save your money for better things.

4. Be Bold, Ask questions

It is very important for you to enquire from others before you make any payment for anything around the school premises because some students around the school can claim to be what they are not and some will tell you to make copies of documents which are not necessary just to rip off your money but if you are bold enough to ask the right questions then you can save yourself the pain of losing your money to other students.

5. Avoid unnecessary expenses

Don’t be forced to buy things for people when you are not through with your screening because you still have a long way to go and the money you think is overflowing now may just not continue to pump out like is doing now; only buy things you need and buy for others when you feel is necessary.
