Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship Grant 2022/2023 for Women from Developing Countries
Each year, The Faculty for the Future fellowships, by Schlumberger Foundation, are awarded to women from developing and emerging economies who are preparing for Ph.D. or post-doctoral study in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at the top universities for their disciplines abroad. Grant recipients are selected for their leadership capabilities as for their academic performance and are expected to return to their home countries to contribute to its development while inspiring other young women.
Interested applicants for this fellowship program are expected to meet the following requirements to be eligible for this program.

Eligibility Criteria for Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship Grant
To be eligible to apply for this Fellowship applicants must meet the following criteria:
- You must be a female and a citizen of a developing country or emerging economy where women
are underrepresented in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
disciplines. - You must be preparing for a Ph.D. degree or post-doctoral research in a STEM discipline.
- You must have enrolled, been admitted, or have applied to a host university/research institute abroad
(applications are no longer accepted where a candidate has not yet applied to a university). If
you are applying for a sandwich course the final degree must be awarded by the Host
University abroad or jointly (i.e., but not solely from the home country university. - You must hold an excellent academic record
- You must be willing to go back to your home country or region upon completion of your studies to
contribute to its socio-economic development. - have a proven record of teaching experience in your home country and can demonstrate your
commitment to going back home to i) an academic or research position in a STEM faculty; ii)
and/or to use your knowledge to become a STEM entrepreneur to help resolve regional
challenges in your local community/region; iii) and/or to demonstrating leadership by
contributing to the public sector using your scientific skills to help provide evidence-based
support for STEM policymaking, including topics of gender representation. - You must demonstrate leadership skills, active community outreach, and have a track record in
encouraging girls and women into STEM.

Interested applicants who meet the above requirements are to complete their application form online via the Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship Grant application portal here. The application must be submitted before the stipulated deadline.

Application Deadline
The deadline to apply is 5th November 2021 for the 2022 Fellowships while the deadline for reference letters submission is November 11th, 2021.
