Osun State Teachers Recruitment – The Osun State governor has approved the recruitment of 5000 new teachers and 250 education officers to fill various vacancies in the state. The approval was given on Wednesday during the State Executive Council Meeting held in Osogbo, the state capital.

During the meeting, the Council directed the state Ministry of Education to fast-track the process of recruiting teachers to strengthen the state’s primary and secondary education system.

The Osun State government conducts all its online activities through its official website osunstate.gov.ng. However, the state has created a different website to handle current teachers’ recruitment. See the How to Apply section below for the direct application link.

Current Vacancies in Osun State 2025

The following positions are currently available for application;

• SUBEB TEACHERS
• TESCOM TEACHERS
• EDUCATION OFFICERS

Requirements for Osun Teachers Recruitment 2025

Interested applicants for the above-named positions are to meet the following requirements;

• Applicants should have 5 credit passes in WASSCE / NECO/ NABTEB or
• Teachers Certificate Grade II (in not more than 2 sittings)
• Applicant should hold NCE(Nigeria Certificate in Education)
• Applicants should hold a BEd (Degree in Education) with a relevant teaching subject or a basic degree with PGDE, HND plus PGDE.
• Holding a Teacher Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certificate is an added advantage
• Indicate any additional relevant qualifications

Other Requirements for Osun State Teachers Recruitment

Applicants are to provide the following to complete their application.

• Applicants should attach a recent passport photograph
• Local government identification letter
• Birth certificate or age declaration
• Letter of attestation from 2 referees, one of which must be from the higher institution attended
• A valid means of identification (permanent voter card, national identity card, driver’s license, international passport)

Special Requirements for Osun State SUBEB Teachers

• Applicants must be NCE holder to qualify for this appointment

Special Requirements for Osun State TESCOM Teachers

• Applicants must possess any of the following BA+ PGDE, BSc +PGDE, HND + PGDE, BA (Ed), BSc (Ed) to qualify for this appointment

Special Requirements for Education Officers In Osun State Teachers Recruitment 2024

• Applicants must possess any of the following BA+ PGDE, BSc +PGDE, HND + PGDE, BA (Ed), BSc (Ed), NCE Technical to qualify for this appointment
• This opportunity is opened to the indigene of Osun State ONLY
