Currently, Opera is recruiting for the position of a Backend Developer who will work with other developers on her mobile money payment gateway in Nigeria.

- Candidate should have B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

- Candidate should have strong knowledge of web architecture and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of application architecture and design patterns is required
- Applicant should have strong knowledge of concurrent programming and thread handling
- Applicant should care about quality and understand what it means to ship high-quality code
- Candidate should have an understanding of how to write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, performant, and easily maintainable code
- Candidate should have experience with code versioning tools like Git
- Candidate should have experience with NoSQL databases
