NATCOM Recruitment 2024 – The National Commission (NATCOM) has in a recent news reviewed plans to recruit 300,000 Nigerians to help fight the menace of small arms in the country and all Nigerians who wish to apply for the NATCOM recruitment are invited to submit their application as the NATCOM recruitment portal opens.

About NATCOM

The National Commission for the Coordination and Control of Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons(NATCOM) was established under the President Buhari-led administration through a bill sponsored by Dr. Baba Mohammed. At the passing of the bill into law, NATFORCE which was the formal body in charge of this duty was transitioned into a national commission(NATCOM). The establishment of NATCOM is expected to enhance the coordination of efforts between various security agencies in the country to combat the proliferation of small arms and light weapons.

NATCOM Requirements for Recruitment

Since NATCOM is a paramilitary organization, the requirements are similar to those of other organizations working in the same field. Some of the requirements are;

• You must be a Nigerian citizen by birth with a valid means of identification (NIN)
• Male applicants, you should have an expanded chest measurement of at least 86cm (34 inches).
• Female applicants, must not be pregnant during the recruitment process.
• Applicants must be free from any form of financial misconduct.
• Applicant must be Physically, medically, and psychologically fit, with a minimum height of 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females.
• All applicants must complete the online forms and submit them along with guarantor forms during examination/screening and recruitment center visits.
• Minimum of 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB, which must include credit passes in English and Mathematics.

Persons With the Following Disability Are Not Eligible to Apply

• Deformed hands that can’t perform all hand functions.
• Bow legs or bent knees that cannot be straightened during attention.
• Defective eyesight or squinted eyes.
• Amputation of any body part.
• Impediment in speech.
• Severe malformation of teeth or jaw affecting proper food mastication.
• Knock knees.

How to Apply for NATCOM Recruitment 2024

Interested and eligible Nigerians who wish to apply for the recruitment are advised to visit the NATCOM official website to complete their application form online before the application deadline.

While on the portal, all candidates are expected to do the following;

• Create a profile account with an active email address.
• Click on the verification link sent to their email
• Return to the portal to fill out the application form
• Upload all valid credentials.
• Finally, Submit your application.

As of the time of this post, the link to apply for NATCOM recruitment portal is yet to be released however, there are speculations that natcom.gov.ng will be used but the recruitment announcement said the link will be made available through national dailies.
