FG to Pay N25000 Monthly to 15 Million Nigerian Households – See How to Benefit Here
As Nigerians continue to suffer the impact of the 29th May subsidy removal announcement by the current president(Bola Amed Tinubu), some attempts have been made by the president to provide palliative for the Nigerian people one of which includes the distribution of rice and maze to various states(which have already been done in August) and the announcement of 8,000 monthly payment to 12 million poor Nigerian(which was met with lots of criticism and never happened).

FG N75,000 to 15 million households In Nigeria
In a more recent development, the Federal governement has announced plans to pay N75,000 to 15 million households in Nigeria at 25,000 Naira per month for the next 3 months starting from October to December 2023.
This new development was contained in a statement issued on Sunday 1st October in Abuja and reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and other news agencies in the country. The federal governement also said they will be adding an additional 35,000 Naira to the salaries of federal civil servants across all levels to help reduce the impact of the subsidy removal.

How Will The 25,000 Naira Monthly Payment Work?
As of the time of writing this article, the federal governement has yet to release an official statement regarding the full plans for the 25k monthly payments and the mode of payment to be adopted. However, we are assuming that it might follow the previous plans for the aborted 8k monthly cash transfer program.

Requirements For FG 25,000 Monthly | FG To Pay N25K Monthly
Based on the structuring of the program and experience in the last program, the following will most likely be required;
- You must be a citizen of Nigeria
- An active account number with any bank in Nigeria
- NIN
- A working phone
- A valid email address(for those who wish to apply online)
- Knowing your state and LGA code(If USSD is used)
When Will The 25,000 Naira Household Monthly Payment Start? | FG To Pay N25k
According to the news publications regarding the announcement, the N 25,000 (Twenty-five thousand Naira) monthly payment will start in October and last till December 2023. Although no definite date is given for the commencement. However, the process may commence between now and the third week of October to enable them start start the selection process and commence payment to selected households.

How to Apply for FG 25k Monthly Palliative
For now, no official portal has been announced for this palliative but it is expected that a new portal may be created or one of the previous portals used by the previous administration can also be utilized for this process.
