About Enugu State Scholarship Board
The Enugu State Bursary and Scholarship Board was established in 2009 under the Sullivan administration with the goal of ensuring that many indigent but exceptionally brilliant students are given the opportunity to go to school. Since its creation, the board has awarded various degrees of scholarships to Enugu indigenes to study both within and outside the country.
Categories of Scholarship Available for Application
The Enugu State Scholarship Board offers the following scholarships;
- Undergraduate Scholarship(local)
- Postgraduate Scholarship(local and international)
Requirements for Enugu State Bursary 2024
Interested applicants for Enugu state bursary are to meet these requirements;
- You must have gained full-time admission into a tertiary Institution.
- You must be a bonafide indigene of Enugu State (by paternity)
- You must sit for the bursary computer-based test.
- You must present proof of admission such as; Admission Letters.
- School Identity Cards.
Letters from kings & Letters from Local Government.
All other relevant documents.
- You must collect a Bursary application Voucher through the Board Office at 28 Okpara Avenue, Enugu State, or call 07032284693, 09033661882, 09044022730, 09045085589, 09054915257, 07053900572 to obtain the voucher.

Requirements for Scholarship Application 2024
Interested candidates who wish to apply for the Enugu State scholarship, are to meet these requirements;
- Applicants must have gained full-time admission into tertiary institutions.
- Applicant must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 and above for undergraduate and 2.1 (second class upper) for postgraduate
- Applicant must be an indigene of Enugu state by paternity
- All other requirements listed under bursary requirements above are applicable.

Documents Needed to complete your Bursary or Scholarship Application
The documents needed are as follows;
For Bursary Allowance:
- School Id Card
- Admission Letter or Your profile print-out from your school portal
- Letter from your HOD on the departmental Letterhead stating your current CGPA
- Certificate of LGA Origin
- Recommendation letter from village head
For Undergraduate Scholarship:
- Your WAEC/NECO or equivalent result
- JAMB admin letter or its equivalent
- Certificate of LGA Origin
- Recommendation letter from village head
For Post-graduate Scholarship:
- Your 1st degree result/certificate
- Admission letter from the postgraduate institution
- Certificate of LGA Origin
- Recommendation letter from village head

How to Apply for Enugu State Scholarship 2024
All interested and eligible candidates who meet the above-listed requirements are to;
- Purchase their application voucher as mentioned above
- Return to the Enugu State Bursary and Scholarship Board application portal https://app.esselb.en.gov.ng/
- Enter the obtained voucher code, select your application category ( Undergraduate scholarship, Bursary, or Postgraduate Scholarship)
- Then click on login to complete the application form.
