VIMP 2021 – Junior Achievement Nigeria Venture in Management Program 2021 for Youth Corpers
The Venture in Management Program (ViMP) is an annual program of the Nigerian Youth Achievement Program since 2000. ViMP is designed as a one-week intensive course with the purpose of introducing selected members of the National Youth Service Corps to all aspects of managing a business, so as to carry out vital business decisions and develop general management skills. ViMP’s goal is to prepare NYSC members to become managers and entrepreneurs in the corporate world. This opportunity is designed to enable future business leaders to understand the responsibilities, opportunities, and requirements of the management profession.

The one-week course includes rigorous and stimulating class meetings (hosted by the host of Lagos Business School), case studies, group discussions, research groups, speakers, and entertainment activities, and finally a strategy workshop during which, Participants will propose solutions to different business problems.
The learning environment reflects the learning environment of the world’s top business schools, with case studies focusing on business ethics, accounting and finance, marketing, strategy, social enterprise, general management, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Participants also participate in community service projects and teach the JAN program at a nearby elementary school.
ViMP will select, through a rigorous process, 70 outstanding members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who are either currently serving or have recently concluded service and put them through the program at the LBS.

Requirements for VIMP 2021
- Applicant must be a serving Corp Member or recently finished the NYSC
- Applicant must be 27 years or younger
- Applicant should have excellent academic records (Minimum 2:1)
- Possess proven and interest in general management
- Have a track record of leadership
- Participation in the previous JAN program will be an added advantage
- A Curriculum Vitae (Must be saved with your full name)
- Proof of service (NYSC ID Card OR Call-Up Letter)
