Rivers State University Port Harcourt which was formerly known as Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) was established in October, 1980 from the Rivers State College of Science and Technology which was established in 1972. The university is located at Nkpolu-Oroworukwo in Port Harcourt(PHALGA) the capital of Rivers State, Nigeria.

Requirements for None Academic Staffs in Rivers State University Recruitment 2019

Interested candidates for the above mentioned position are to meet the following requirements;

• Applicant should hold an HND/B.Sc/OND in the relevant field
• Applicants should have at least 2 years relevant posts qualification experience
• Applicant should have an evidence of Microsoft certification.
• O’level applicants should have 3 Subjects at a sitting at the GCE A/L with at least 4 years relevant experience with an evidence of proficiency in Microsoft.

Note: Successful candidates will be required to resume duty as soon as possible and undergo 2 years probation period.

Requirements for Academic Staff Positions in Rivers State University Recruitment 

The requirements varies from one position to another but here is the summery of all requirements;

• Applicants for role of professor must have up to 10 years experience
• Applicant must be able to handle supervision roles
• Applicants must have some publications in his/her name and have also contributed in well recognized journals
• For Reader, 7 years experience or more with PhD and outstanding research achievement.
• For Senior  lectures, minimum of 5 years experience and PhD and ability to teach
