About OSOPADEC

Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission is a body established by the Laws of the Ondo State House of Assembly in 2001 to intervene in the development of the oil-producing and impacted areas of Ondo State. The vision of the body is “to be the most proactive and responsive interventionist agency that satisfies stakeholders’ aspirations with excellence in service delivery”.

Requirements for OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship 2025

Interested applicants for this scholarship and bursary scheme are to meet the following eligibility criteria;

• Applicant should be a bonafide, full-time student of a Recognized Private/Public Tertiary Institution within the country as of the current Academic Session
• Candidate should be an indigene of Ese-Odo or Ilaje L.G.A with evidence of Letter of Origin
• Applicant should have a JAMB Registration No. where relevant
  Candidate must present a letter of Admission
• Applicant must present evidence of School Fees receipt for the previous academic session
• Student ID Card must be presented
• Post Graduate students presently in Law School are eligible to apply.
• Applicants for the scholarship award must have at least Second Class Upper Division(or its equivalent)

Special waiver consideration will be given to applicants currently undergoing courses of interest to the commission, which include:

• Nursing,
• Midwifery,
• Medicine & Surgery,
• Engineering, Pharmacy,
• Geology/Geophysics,
• Quantity Surveying,
• Computer Science/Engineering,
• Architecture,
• Dentistry and Medical Lab Science

Note: Students in Part-Time, Sandwich, Pre-Degree, NTL, Certificate Diploma, and others from Institutions not duly accredited by relevant government agencies are not eligible to apply.

Also, note that: Change of Bank Details will not be entertained after the final submission of the application

How to Apply for OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship Scheme 2025

Interested applicants who are indigenes of the above-listed local government and also qualified for the scholarship or bursary scheme are required to visit the OSOPADEC application portal at https://osopadec.gov.ng scroll down to find the scholarship announcement and click on Apply to start the application process.

Documents Needed for the Application

Applicants are required to upload the following;

• A recent passport photograph
• Local government identification letter
• Admission letter
• School fees receipt for academic section
• School ID
• Evidence of membership of NAIS or FELGOS and
• Jamb registration slip.

Deadline for Application

The Application is open annually and closes around May/June
