The Nigeria Enterprises Development Interactive Scheme (NEDIS) Covid-19 Special Fund Grant or Loan for SMEs, Farmers, and Traders application portal 2021 is now open for both online and offline applications for all interested and eligible individuals who wish to get funds to improve their business to apply through any of the methods they are comfortable with.

What is NEDIS COVID-19 Special Fund?
NEDIS is an acronym for Nigeria Enterprises Development Interactive Scheme. NEDIS is an NGO(non-governmental organization) which according to its Facebook page section state’s that they are determined to support and build a stable economy in Nigeria through collective efforts(I believe the collective effort here means crowdfunding) which is why the NEDIS COVID-19 special fund grant is a contributory Intervention Fund (CIF).
Who is Behind NEDIS COVID-19 Special Fund?
As of the time of writing this article, we are yet to know who the founder of the NGO is or the names of any board members but we will for sure update this section once the information is available. But the official address of the NGO as stated on her Facebook page is 35 Port Harcourt Crescent, Off Gimbiya Street, Area 11, Garki Abuja.
Who is Eligible to Apply for NEDIS COVID-19 Grant?
Application for the special fund (which is not totally clear if it is a loan or a grant at the moment) is open to all Nigerian SMEs, Farmers, and traders who are willing to apply for the special fund and are ready to make a commitment of 2,000 or 3,000.

How to Apply for NEDIS Covid-19 Special Fund Loan 2021
Interested and eligible Nigerians who wish to apply for the Special fund are to complete their application form online or submit an offline application form by following these steps;
NEDIS COVID-19 Grant / Loan Online Application Process
To complete your application form online, you are to follow these procedures;
- Visit NEDIS official website at https://nedis.org.ng and download the NEDIS COVID-19 Special fund “APPLICATION FORM 2021”, print it out in coloured.
- Complete the Application Form neatly. It is important to note that the applicable Minimum Account Opening Balance is (SMEs: N3000 while Farmers/Traders: N2000). Nobody is authorized to receive payment on behalf of NEDIS. To pay the minimum account Opening Balance, see how to make the payment section below. The approved channel of payment is online and no cash payment to anyone is allowed.
- After completing the form, proceed to the cyber cafe or go online via your computer, visit https://nedis.org.ng and click on “Open Account Now ” and complete all appropriate fields with accurate information. After that, make payment and print evidence of payment of Minimum Account Opening Balance as stated above.
- Scan the completed Form, Evidence of Payment for and your Application Minimum Account Opening Balance, a Valid Identity Card (Drivers’ License, International Passport, National Identity Card, or Permanent Voters’ Card).
- Send the scanned Form, Evidence of Payment, and your valid identity card via email to nediscovid19specialfund@nedis.org.ng

How to Apply for NEDIS COVID-19 Special Fund Offline(Manually)
Follow these steps if you wish to complete your application manually (without submitting your application over the internet).
- Locate the nearest Enumeration Officer and collect Form (NEDIS COVID-19 SPECIAL FUND Application form).
- Complete the Application Form neatly. It is important to note that the applicable Minimum Account Opening Balance is (SMEs: NGN 3,000 while Farmers/Traders: NGN 2,000). Nobody is authorized to receive payment on behalf of NEDIS. To pay the minimum account Opening Balance, see how to make the payment section below.
- After completing the form, proceed to the cyber cafe or go online via your computer, visit https://nedis.org.ng and click on “Open Account Now ” and complete all appropriate fields with accurate information. After that, make payment and print evidence of payment of Minimum Account Opening Balance as stated above.
- After a successful payment, Photocopy your valid identity card (Drivers’ License, International Passport, National Identity Card, or Permanent Voters’ Card).
- Submit the completed form, photocopy of evidence of payment of Application Minimum Account Opening Balance, and photocopy of Valid Identity Card to the nearest Enumeration Officer who will document the same and forward it to NEDIS.

How to Make Payment for SMEs

Application Deadline
The deadline to complete your application both online and offline is 15th September 2021
Data Verification and Account Opening Date
Data Verification and Account Opening starts from 20th September and ends on 15th October 2021

NEDIS COVID-19 Special Fund 2021 Disbursement Date
Disbursement of the fund is arranged in phases, phase 1 and 2 disbursements will commence by November 2021 while other phases come later.
At the moment, the total number of phases is unknown till the application closes.
How Much Can I Get from NEDIS COVID-19 Grant?
The amount an applicant is expected to get during disbursement varies however, the maximum amount for SMEs is NGN1,000,0000(One Million Naira) while farmers and traders will get a maximum of NGN 500, 000(Five hundred thousand Naira).

Enumeration Code For Online Application
If you are completing your application online, the default enumeration code for all online applications is NEDIS/C19SF21/E1000. This code is applicable to all online applicants irrespective of your state of origin or residence.
