Requirements for ECOWAS Recruitment 2019

The requirements stated for the various roles are just a summary of the requirements; do well to check the ECOWAS Recruitment portal stated on how to apply section of this post for detailed requirements.

Requirements for Administrative Officer 

• Applicant should hold B.Sc in Business Administration or equivalent degree in Management or any related field from a recognized university.
• Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of progressively experience in administration and HR management.
• Candidates should have knowledge of ECOWAS Administrative and Procurement Regulations and Procedures.
• Candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to use basic SAP/ECM HCM modules to carry out HR functions, to include basic data entry, extraction, and interpretation.

Requirements for Portuguese Interpreter 

• Candidate should hold a masters degree in Conference Interpretation from a recognized university or institute
• You should have 10 years of experience in Interpretation (4 years of which should have been as a staff Interpreter)

Requirements for IT Officer/Webmaster

• Candidate should hold B.Sc (or equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, business systems analysis & design, information systems management or any related ICT field from a recognized university.
• You should have 5 years experience in planning, web design, development, implementation and maintenance of information and communication technologies
• You should have knowledge of ECOWAS ICT infrastructure and IT strategy as it relates to the user area

Requirements for Reviser English To Portuguese

• candidates should have a master’s degree or equivalent in translation from a recognized university.
• All other requirements stated in the Portuguese Interpreter position above applies.

Requirements for Senior Research and Legal Affairs Officer

• Applicant should hold Bachelor’s degree its or equivalent in law, with a specialization in international, administrative or economic law from a recognized university;
• You should have 7 years of professional experience in legal practice, including legal research, analysis and writing within the judicial system, a law firm, a legal office of an intergovernmental organization or Government
• Applicant should have excellent knowledge of international law etc..

Requirements for Translator English into Portuguese

• The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in translation or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Applicant should have 7 years of experience in translation, and use of relevant computer software, electronic tools, and databases.

Requirements for Office Manager

• Applicant should hold HND or equivalent in secretarial studies or administration from a related field from a recognized higher institution.
• Candidate should have 6 years of experience in administrative or secretarial services.
• Candidate should demonstrate sound judgment and be able to make reasonable decisions in the absence of direction.

Requirements for Courtroom Technician

• Candidate should hold Brevet de Technicien Superieur (BTS)/OND/HND or equivalent in a related field from a university/ Institution of recognized standing
• Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in administration, including experience in the area of archives, electronic record management or related area.

Requirements for Accountant

• Applicant must hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance from any recognized university.
• 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, and budget.
