What is Amotekun
The word Amotekun has some contradictions; why some say it means Tiger, some said it means Lion but for the sake of this post, Amotekun is a security outfit covering the six southwest states in Nigeria.
The Idea of this security outfit was born in 2019 as a result of the increase in the attack of communities by armed herdsmen in these regions. Hence, the security network is more like a community police service created to safeguard lives and property in the southwest.

Requirements for Amotekun Recruitment 2020
Currently, Ondo State is conducting their own recruitment so interested candidates who are indigence of Ondo state who wish to apply for this recruitment are to meet these requirements;
- Applicants must be an indigene of the state to apply
- Applicants must be between 18 to 70 years old.
- Applicants must hold a minimum of the first school leaving certificate(Primary Six).
- A passport photograph is needed
