National Poverty Eradication Programme(NAPEP) Application 2025

The general public, especially unemployed Nigerians, are hereby invited to submit their application for the 2025 NAPEP recruitment, as the registration portal is currently open for all interested Nigerians. See the programme requirements and steps for applying below.

What Is NAPEP?

NAPEP is an acronym for the National Poverty Eradication Programme. The program was originally founded in 2001 by President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration as a replacement for the Poverty Alleviation Programme(PAP). The programme is aimed at reducing poverty caused by the current economic challenges faced by many Nigerians. 

NAPEP also coordinates and develops plans and guidelines for some ministries and institutions to follow to facilitate the country’s poverty eradication process. 

Some key goals of the National Poverty Eradication Programme include training youths in vocational trades, provision of internship spaces, and provision of micro credits to Nigerians who have gained skills but lack the finance to support their startup. 

NAPEP is also designed to create income-earning opportunities, discourage rural-urban migration, and speed the growth of the local economy. 

The program, just like N-power and other similar programs, seeks to connect Nigerians with local job opportunities that require their expertise while equipping the participants with world-class practical knowledge and relevant skills, even if they don’t have any previous job experience.

Application for NAPEP is open to Nigerians from all Geopolitical zones provided they are up to 18 years and are willing to learn and work.

NAPEP Registration Portal 

The official registration portal to apply for this program is napep-gov.ng. The portal is currently open for interested Nigerians.

Requirements for NAPEP Registration 2025

Interested Nigerians who wish to apply for the 2025 nation poverty eradication program recruitment are to meet these basic requirements;

• You must be a Nigerian citizen 
• You must be between 18 years to 65 years of age. 
• You must be able to read and write 
• You must be willing to contribute to the development of Nigeria 
• You must be very interested in your chosen career. 
• You must have a valid NIN and be willing to verify your national identification number by making a payment of N760 via the NIN portal.

How to Apply for NAPEP Registration 2025

To start your application for the 2025 National Poverty Eradication Programme, visit the program application portal here https://napep-gov.ng/ before the application deadline. 

While on the portal, you are to register with an active email address, enter a choice password and confirm the password, and then proceed to sign up. After which you are to login with the created credentials. 

When you log in, you will be required to enter your bio data, phone number, and NIN(NIN will be verified). Without NIN verification, you can not proceed with the application. 

National Poverty Eradication Programme Application Deadline 

The deadline to apply for the program this year is 30th April. 

Note: You don’t need to be a graduate to register or participate in the NAPEP program.
