Responsibilities of a Plumber

Below are some duties you will be expected to carry out as a plumbing apprentice on your resumption.

Install and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment, and controls
Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
Repair and test any damaged or malfunctioning pipes, perform pressure tests from time to time, when required
Assist in the installation, assembly, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of process piping systems
Read and understand the standard methods, materials, and equipment used in piping
Apply all codes to installations, repairs, and maintenance
Work in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation, and policies are met, and to ensure the efficient completion of any project
Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience Needed to Work In Canada As a Plumber

You will be expected to meet these requirements if you wish to apply as a plumber apprentice in Canada.

Good knowledge of maintenance, installation, and repair of piping systems.
Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the job of a plumber
Valid Driver’s License(since the job requires moving around, you may need a driving license)
Plumbing Apprenticeship set up with Ontario College of Trades.
Ability to commute/relocate
Lively, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
