Nigerian Youth Investment Fund Portal 

The NYIF has just launched its application form after institutionalizing the original 3-year program which ran from 2020-2023 for youths between 18-35 years to apply for the 2025 kickoff batch. The new application portal as announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports via Twitter (x) is https://www.fmyd.gov.ng/. We have written all you need to know about NYIF here

Current Recruitments for NYIF Loan Application 

The NYIF loan is of two(2) categories hence, there are different requirements to meet based on your category of application. The categories are; 

• Individuals / Non registered businesses and 
• Registered Businesses

The difference between the two categories above are; 

• Category A doesn’t require CAC(Corporate Affairs Commission)  certificate 
• Applicants must be between 18-35 years. 
• You can’t get above N250,000(Two hundred and fifty thousand Naira)

Category B 

• Applicants under this  category must have CAC
• Applicants must have a valid TIN(Tax Identification Number) 
• You can get up to 3,000,000(Three Million Naira)
• No age limit is placed here.

Full Requirements for Individuals / Non registered business NYIF Loan Applicants

Applicants for NYIF under this category must meet the following requirements;

• Applicants must be within the age bracket of 18 to 35 years
• You must have a valid BVN and means of ID(National Identity card, Permanent voters card, international passport, Drivers License)
• You must provide a Business plan Summary or Completed Questionnaire
• You should have Entrepreneurship Training Certification from FMYSD Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (EDIs)

Full Requirements for Registered Businesses NYIF Loan Applicants

Applicants wishing to apply under this category are to meet these requirements;

• Applicant must have a Formal business enterprise (Youth owned enterprises), duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
• You must Valid Bank Verification Number (BVNs) of Directors
• Provision of Tax Identification Number (TIN)
• Entrepreneurship Training Certification from FMYSD EDIs

How to Apply for Nigerian Youth Investment Fund Loan 2025

Interested and eligible candidates who can meet the above requirements should complete their application form online by visiting https://www.fmyd.gov.ng/nyif_application

While on the portal, you are required to enter your first name, middle name(if you have one), and surname followed by your BVN before commencing the application. So make sure you have your BVN written down before you visit the portal to apply.
