The Nigerian Army recruitment is conducted via her official recruitment portal stated on her official website and all interested applicants must click to apply through the said portal. Any application submitted outside the portal is invalid. See the How to apply section for details.

General Requirements for Nigerian Army Regular Recruit Intake 2021
All interested applicants for this recruitment are to meet these basic requirements to be eligible for this recruitment;
- Applicant must be single and Nigerian citizen by birth and must possess National Identity Card/ NIN or BVN.
- Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit according to Nigerian Army standards.
- Applicants must be free of any criminal conviction by the court of law.
- Applicants must possess a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission. Hospital or Local Government Council or valid age declaration.
- All applicants must have WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB/TRADES TEST/ CITY GUILD CERTIFICATE.
- An applicant must not be less than 18 years and not more than 22 years for non-tradesmen/women while tradesmen/women must not be more than 27 years as at the commencement of training by 31 Jan 2022.
- Measurement in height at least not less than 1.68 meters and 1.62 meters tall for male and female candidates respectively.
- Applicant must possess a valid certificate of state of origin.
