Facts About ICRC
Founded in 1919, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is the largest humanitarian network in the world. Its mission is to alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and uphold human dignity, especially during armed conflicts and other emergencies. It is present in every country and supported by millions of volunteers. The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement are dedicated to preventing and alleviating human suffering in warfare and in emergencies such as epidemics, floods, and earthquakes. It is not a single organization. It is composed of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the 189 individual National Societies. Each has its own legal identity and role, but they are all united by seven Fundamental Principles. These principles are humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality.

Requirements for ICRC Delegate for Sub-Saharan Africa Region
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- At least two years of relevant working experience including at least six months of international experience.
- Language requirements: o Fluency in French and English (minimum B2 level).
- Good command of one of the following languages is a strong asset: Peul, Hausa, Lingala, and Arabic.
Requirements for Communications Officer 2
- University degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or relevant field.
- 2-5 years prior experience in the field of communication and/or with the humanitarian sector.
- Excellent written and reporting skills.
- Excellent skills in MS office; familiarity with online and social media communication tools
- Excellent command of English, Hausa, and Kanuri.
Desired profile and Skills
- Excellent relationship-building/maintaining skills with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of the media landscape in the region.
- Good understanding of the humanitarian context in the North East of Nigeria.
- Proven ability to listen, gather feedback, analyze, and make recommendations.

Requirements for Storekeeper 2
- Minimum of an OND (Ordinary National Diploma). Some college coursework completed, a professional diploma or an Associate Degree is an asset.
- 2-4 years of working experience in a similar position.
- Proven recent work experience in spare-parts management, supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or automotive engineering is required.
- Computer Proficiency i.e., Word, Excel, Microsoft essential.
- Previous experience with supply chain and Fleet Management software systems (such as JD Edward and Chevin FleetWave) and OEM spare parts platforms is a strong asset.

- Accuracy and precision.

Requirement for Logistician 1
- University degree in Logistics, Administration, or any related discipline
- Three (3) years of professional experience, preferably in commercial, military, or humanitarian logistics
- Good command (spoken and written) of the English language
- Computer proficiency
- ICRC field experience is an asset
- Available to travel outside of Yola, to the different sites of operation on a regular basis.

Requirements for Air Operations (AirOps) Officer 2
- University Degree in aviation management and/or combination of education, professional training, certification in air transport, and experience in air transportation-related occupation required.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible flight operations work experience with an Airline, Flight Briefing Office, Ground Handling Company, or Airport Operator. Professional experience in a field related to air transportation.
- Previous experience with a Humanitarian agency would be an added advantage.
- Additional vocational training in logistics or aviation is an asset.
- Advanced level in computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) including working knowledge of Flight planning systems.
- General knowledge of the Aviation industry and technical aviation terminology.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Driving license.
- Succeed in the ICRC driving test.
Requirements for Staff Health Field Officer 1
- MBBS, with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Fluency in English
- Experience in mental health, and stress management is an asset.
- Experience in medical evacuation and transportation is an asset.
- Knowledge of tropical health and public health systems.
- Proficiency with MS Office and internet tools.
Desired profile and Skills
- Good rigor, Management, method, and analytical skills
- Willing to travel up to 25% of her/his time, as per needs (domestic as well as international)
- Keeps strict medical confidentiality
- Respect for medical professional regulations
