Requirements for Administrative and Finance Assistant
- BSc/HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with a minimum of two (2) years experience performing similar roles in a well-structured environment.
Competences
The ideal candidate must:
- Have proven relevant experience as a Finance & Administrative Assistant
- Be familiar with office management procedures and basic accounting principles.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Have excellent organizational skills.
- Be fluent in the Hausa language (speaking and writing) according to country.
- Have advanced written and oral communication skills in English.
- Have excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software.
- Be fluent in the Hausa language (speaking and writing) according to country.
Policy Analyst Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in economics or a related field
- At least 5 years of work experience
- Good Stata coding skills
- Experience programming surveys in ODK or similar CAPI software
- Familiarity with theoretical and technical issues related to agriculture, economic development, poverty, and food security in Malawi
- Work experience with a reputable research, government, or non-governmental institution working in the fields of agricultural or development policy
- Published research outputs in peer-reviewed journals high-quality discussion papers or policy briefs
Competences
- Ability to see the big picture of development challenges facing Malawi and that of the research policies and initiatives that aim to address them
- Ability to express complicated analytical findings to non-scientist but expert audiences
- Ability to network with government officials and development actors at all levels
- Excellent English writing skills, especially technical and academic writing

Laboratory Manager Requirements
- Masters in Plant Biology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Biotechnology, or related field with a minimum of five (5) years experience in general laboratory management, SOP preparation or implementation, seed health testing by conventional agar planting method, and application of diagnostics techniques such as ELISA, PCR in a well-structured organization.
Competences:
The ideal candidate must have:
- Basic knowledge in plant pathology, seed health testing, and propagation of planting material
- Be experienced in seed health testing and analytical laboratory skills.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
- Ability to work independently and assume responsibility for own work as well as being able to work as part of as team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (French is an added advantage).
- Have good computational skills.

Research Support Officer Requirements
- BSc/HND in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Crop Production or other related field with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
Competences
The ideal candidate must:
- Have excellent written and spoken communication skills, including presentations.
- Be computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show commitment to teamwork with minimal supervision by working positively and cooperatively with others
Research Supervisor Requirements
- BSc/HND in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Crop Production or other related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
Competences
The ideal candidate must:
- Have excellent written and spoken communication skills, including presentations.
- Be computer literacy with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show commitment to teamwork with minimal supervision by working positively and cooperatively with others.
