What Is an Innovation Stream Pilot?
The Canada Innovation Stream Pilot program is a 2-year Innovation work permit under the Global Hypergrowth Project launched on April 15, 2024. This program will allow eligible Canadian companies to hire foreign workers without a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) and is open for recruiting workers under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 who are considered high-skilled workers.
What Is the Global HyperGrowth Project(GHP)?
GHP is a new scale-up service created by the Canadian government to help companies rooted in Canada go further, and faster. The project aims to provide tailored support to each participating company’s specific needs and one of these key needs is hiring skilled workers from across the globe to fill major workforce shortages in participating firms.
As a pilot program, only eight(8) companies have so far been shortlisted to start the process and the companies include;
- Ada Support Inc.
- AlayaCare
- CellCarta
- Clarius Mobile Health
- Clio
- Duchesnay Pharmaceutical Group (DPG)
- Lightspeed Commerce
