About Abia State Teachers Recruitment
Following the inauguration of the new governor of Abia State(Alex Otti), the governor has announced that his administration is set to commence recruitment of 5,000 teachers to fill various teaching vacancies in state Primary and secondary schools.
The recruitment according to the governor will commence in the coming month hence all interested applicants who are willing to teach in rural communities in the state are advised to prepare for the official announcement of the Abia state teachers recruitment portal.

Requirements for Abia State Teachers Recruitment
Although the official requirements are yet to be announced, the following are summary of possible requirements according to the governor’s statement;
- Applicant must be ready to teach in a rural community
- Applicant should hold a degree in education, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics
- Applicants should be a Nigerian
