The Ministry of Environment, climate change, and Forestry through the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) hereby invites interested and eligible Kenyans to submit their application forms for Kenya Forest Service recruitment of 4,000 unskilled nursery attendants into the Green Army initiative.

KFS Green Army Recruitment
As part of the 100,000 candidates to be recruited in the Green Army Initiative commences its first batch of recruitment of 4,000 around the country for unskilled youth, the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry through Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has announced the portal for applicants to fill the 4000 vacancies(under the first batch) of Unskilled tree nursery attendants as a part of the Green Army initiative.
Eligibility Criteria for Green Army Recruitment
All interested youths are to meet these requirements to be eligible to participate in the initiative;
- You must be a Kenyan Citizen
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- All applicants must be a resident of the targeted county, sub-county, and ward.

Benefits of KFS Green Army Recruitment
As a participant in the KFS green army initiative, you will contribute to the growth of your environment through tree planting and other related tasks plus you get to earn between KES 8,631 to KES 16,401.
Duties of a KFS Green Army
- Gathering and mixing nursery dirt.
- Potting, sprouting, and “Swaziland” beds with poly tubes and bags with mixed nursery soil.
- Seeding and dividing.
- Planting wildlings.
- Watering, weeding, pruning roots, fertilizing, manure, insecticides, and strengthening seedlings.
- Cleaning and maintaining the nursery’s grounds, tools, and building.
- Plant trees and combat fires.
- Every hired nursery attendant must perform the above-given duties.
All participants must grow and care for seedlings and report to the Nursery Headman at the end of the work day.

All applications for the Green Army program must be submitted on the Kenya Forest Service, KFS recruitment portal at https://recruitment.kenyaforestservice.org before the application closing date.
